Motorcycle Ride Fundraiser
June 22, 2024 - 17 riders join the County of Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation on a ride from Grande Prairie to Falher. A very big thank you to Smokey River & Rescue for hosting a barbecue and feeding everyone. This event raised $400 for the foundation.
1st Annual Clay Shoot Competition
May 12, 2024 - Raised $3,173 for the County of Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation. As well as donating and additional $500 to Jump Start Grande Prairie. Funds raised for the foundation will be put towards helping the local community.
2nd Annual Stache Bash
November 30, 2023 - Raised $10,722.62 for the Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society.
Money raised will be put towards well needed programming for Grief and Men’s Mental Health supports in our community.
End of School Water Fight
June 2023 - County Firefighters came to local school to enjoy a water fight with the kids and give out popsicles to celebrate the end of the school year. Big shout out to Sticky’s Candy for sponsoring the popsicles for this event.
6th Annual Roof Sit
April 2022 Roof Sit - Raised $12,864 for muscular dystrophy. Our firefighters camped out in chilly temps all weekend for this great cause.
County Fire Bounce House
2022 - Purchase of fire station bounce house for County Fire Station community events
Clairmont Community Ice Rink
In 2022 the foundation purchased an ice rink for the community. In 2022 this was utilized for the winter season. Unfortunately, the warm winter in 2023 has hindered the set up this year.
Whispering Ridge Community School
April 2021 - County of Grande Prairie Local 5108 Firefighters and surrounding stations responded to the Whispering Ridge Community School for a structure fire on the early morning of April 11th. Some of the toys and school supplies purchased by teachers were damaged by smoke and unfortunately, would not be covered by insurance. The County of Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation and IAFF Local 5108 helped replace some of these items.
Clairmont Park Update 102 Ave
Summer 2024 - Foundation/ department members have teamed up to help upgrade the park. A new picnic table and updated basketball nets are on their way.
End of School Water Fight
June 21, 2024 What a blast! Our members had an amazing time at Harry Balfour School today, engaging in an epic water fight with the students!
